Poverty and lack of education are two formidable strongholds in the battle against poverty. In an effort to serve the community as a whole, ministering to the Nicaraguan people and in turn helping them overcome their debilitating circumstances, our prayer is that we would empower them, through Christ's strength, to crush the cycle of poverty in the current generation of children and families.
We believe that God desires for children to be raised in the healthy environment of a loving family. Our hope in working with these vulnerable communities is that we could address and treat one of the sources of the issue of orphaning in Nicaragua - impoverished families. By strengthening the social, medical and spiritual resources available to families, we hope to defeat the root cause of orphaning before it occurs.
With this vision in mind, we are currently partnering with and serving at one outreach site project:
- Rio Coco - an isolated location bordering Honduras, where indigenous people have developed a community.
